WHAT WE PROVIDE
Up to $6,000 per year fills crucial gaps not addressed by federal funding and helps ensure scholars are able to meet basic living expenses while in school.
Individualized Mentoring Sessions
Regular check-ins with a Forward Steps Scholar Mentor that are guided by the students’ needs. Topics are customized to each scholar and can include academic challenges, career coaching, housing issues, financial aid complications and mental health challenges.
Personal & Professional Development Opportunities
Workshops that provide essential life-skills training, including:

A pre-college program that prepares our scholars for their first semester of college. Scholars are given information about accessing on-campus resources, tips for being successful in school, and guidance to help them successfully navigate their transition to a post-secondary institution
